Reader- Are you ready for wearing maternity clothes?
Ahh... The Pleasures of Maternity Clothes
Ok, so maybe I'm being a bit sarcastic. You are expecting a baby and you may be feeling a little large and unattractive but put down the oversized shirt and step away from the frumpy dress. Maternity clothes do not have to be huge. They do not have to be frumpy and they do not have to scream, “Pregnant lady coming!”
There have never been more choices and styles available for expecting mothers. Maternity clothing comes in a large number of designs and colors. There are so many options available in maternity clothing that you are sure to find any number of items that will suit your taste and personality.
Gone are the days of hiding behind ridiculously large garments that actually accentuate the negative and downplay the positive. Women of all shapes and sizes are demanding more from maternity clothes and they are getting it. With the new line of clothing available to expecting mothers today, prepare to shop and prepare to have choices. The good news is that you are no longer limited in what you can buy and you are not limited in what you can wear. Younger moms-to-be are wearing outfits that show off their baby-bellies. There are maternity clothes designed to let the belly show itself in a tasteful and stylish way.
Most of us are not quite so brave and prefer our maternity clothes to cover our tummies. There are still many options to consider. Shirts do not have to wear like tents. They can be tailored to fit and can form to the body without making you look like you have a basket ball tucked under there. Different women have different shapes. Some of us carry our weight on the bottom and some of us are top heavy. It used to be that maternity clothes did not consider the rest of the woman’s body. The focus was on the belly and this actually made the garments accentuate the feature. Today’s maternity clothes are designed with different shapes in mind and they are created to accentuate our most attractive features.
Color is in and this applies to expectant mothers as well. For many years maternity clothes were limited in color and design. Say goodbye to black, white and beige and say hello to turquoise, red and orange. Color brings life to the once dreaded maternity clothes. The garments come in so many different styles that you may have to make some tough decisions.
